Over the last 20 years David and Lisa have traveled to some of the most exotic places in the world and mixed with hundreds of engaging and fascinating people. They have recorded Mayan ruins of Central America, remnants of early Christian civilization of the Byzantine Empire, and the Moorish influence of the Mediterranean. They have met the people of mountain and desert villages in India, witnessed the beautiful wildlife of Australia, and visited the lush landscape and people of David's birthplace, Scotland.

Through Lisa’s Canon, David's Leica, and both of their memories and notes, they have burrowed deep into the art, artifacts, landscapes, and wildlife of many cultures – from the temples of Indonesia to the triple-canopy rainforests of Brazil. They have learned about the lives and social concerns of the people, and study art, music, and religious traditions that go back thousands of years.
