David hails from Scotland and is a scientist/entrepreneur whose fantasy-life as a philosopher, musician, essayist, foreign correspondent is being realized through audacious world travel. Lisa is a New Yorker, born and raised in bohemian Greenwich Village and has segued from artist to scientist to journalist to investor, and has come full circle back to being an artist.

David and Lisa became soulmates 25 years ago - connected through the arts, friends, global family, the history and geography of the world and its fascinating cultures. They are extraordinarily happy living in their townhouse in Philadelphia, amongst memorabilia and amidst the rich culture and cuisine of this city. They love to travel the world and absorb interesting places, people, cultures, and things.

Like many couples, they are different from, and complementary to, each other. Lisa is a classic Libra, with great people and verbal skills, but also dyslexic and very visual. Lisa has a fast and detailed eye, which makes her a great wildlife and telephoto photographer with her Canon. David is more analytic and synthetic, and fiddles over form and composition with his Leica (and his Hasselblad),
